  INSTRUCTORS 
 

Ms. Donna is instructor  at Dance Arts.  She has been a dancing instructor for over 25 years.  She has performed professionally on cruise ships, owned her own dancing schools in Meyersdale and Tarentum, PA, and Mrytle Beach, SC.  Ms. Donna is a superb instructor, her favorites to teach are tap, jazz, and pre-school.   

 

Ms. Brittany has graduated from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor's degree in Dance.  She has danced with Ms. Donna and Ms. Shirly for over 18 years!  Brittany's dance instruction continues with  advanced classes at Dance Arts and conferences and conventions for instructors.  Ms. Brittany loves to tap!  Brittany is an assistant instructor.

 

 

Ms. Anastasia has been dancing for over 18 years.  She has danced under Ms. Shirley and Ms. Donna's direction for the past 14 years.  She has also been instructed by the CLO (Civic Light Opera) in Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Dance Alloy, and Pennsylvania Youth Ballet in Bethlehem, PA.  Her dance instruction is ongoing; she 's  continuing instruction at advanced levels at Dance Arts and by attending conferences and conventions for instructors to keep abreast of everything new.  Ms. Anastasia's preferences are ballet, pointe, and lyrical.  She is an instruction assistant at the pre-school level,  pilates, and upcoming special needs classes.

 Ms. Taylor is teaching assistant for hip hop.  She's Ms. Shirley's granddaughter and Ms. Donna's daughter--she's been dancing all her life!

 

 

 

Christie is an alumni of Dance Arts.  She currently works  as a choreographer in Las Vegas.  Christie holds our annual hip hop workshop.  She tours the U.S. as a choreographer, instructor, and judge with Professional Dance Teacher's Association, N-House Productions, and VIP  Dance Competion.  She was a instructor of jazz and hip hop for the former Hoctor's Dance Caravan.  Everyone looks forward to Christie coming back to teach.

Ms. Angelina is our pilates instructor.   She is a current dancer of ours and has been dancing since she was 5 years old.  She is a graduate of Penn State and Gannon University.  She is a Dr. of Physical Therapy as well as a certified pilates instructor.  Her favorite classes are jazz, lyrical, and modern.  Angelina is looking forward to sharing her knowledge with everyone.

 
Ms. Amy began her dancing career at Ms. Shirley's Frostburg Dance Academy in Frostburg, MD.  She has been teaching 22+ years and has been a studio owner for 15 years.  She graduated from Frostburg State University with a B. S. in Dance and Social Science and a minor in Psychology.  She has had articles about her in many of the national dance magazines throughout the years.  She is now owner of Frostburg Dance Academy as well as a teacher at Frostburg State Dance Department.  Ms. Amy is also one of our annual guest instructors. 
 

  The owner, director, and instructor at Dance Arts is Ms. Shirley.  She has performed professionally for over 10 years in New York, and Washington, DC.  and went on to open Frostburg Dance Academy in Frostburg, MD where she instructed students for over 35 years.  Sharing her vast knowledge, experience and professional resources in the dance world,  Ms. Shirley can properly teach and train dancers.   Passing through her dancing schools her students have become professional dancers, pagent winners, dance instructors,  studio owners, and university students majoring in dance.
